About me

Yianni Canatselis

Testing taught me how products break. Support taught me how that feels. Now I design so people don’t have to find out.

I started out in psychology, then spent 5+ years in software testing and customer support: catching bugs before release, and talking to the people who ran into the ones that slipped through. That pulled me into UX, and I’ve since completed a Graduate Certificate in UX Design at Torrens University.

That background still shapes how I work. I map the unhappy paths as well as the happy one, design error and empty states early, and put prototypes in front of real people before anything ships.

Outside of design, I’m usually reading about history, planning the next overseas trip, or listening to a Michael Jackson album.
